Australia!

Here are our Australia pages, where we aim to share with the world the wonders of our amazing country. A work in progress, this page will be added to regularly, so keep coming back!

On this page you will find our photos of Australian animals – the dog belongs to Mrs C’s family; his name is Pumba and he’s very gentle with people and craves attention! He likes to tease the cattle and goat though, cheeky pup! Pumba is 6 years old.

Here is a collection of maps showing the discovery of Australia by Europeans. Of course the Aborigines had been living in this land for tens of thousands of years, but modern Australia is a product begun by British colonisation, which began on January 26, 1788.

Hi! I think this page will look really good when we get a few posts about Australia, like the one Zoe and I are currently working on about the Great Barrier Reef.

    Dear 5/6c ,

I really like your pictures of Australian animals. My favourite picture is the baby galah. My teacher has seen some near my school.

Would love to see some sea turtles in here too! When I visited Australia, I spent two weeks on the GBR working with endangered hawksbill and green turtles. It was an amazing experience!
