Mega-thanks to Miss Wyatt in Tassie for the huge amount of work she’s put in to get this competition up and running. You’re a champ, Miss W! It’s tricky but she thinks she’s got the basics worked out, sort of anyway. She used the tool to make the Blog user survey below – please fill in the form! Thanks,
On the map pictured above, the darker the color the more visits we have had from that country. We are a bit light on for African visitors, and we’d love someone from Russia to visit – that would color a huge section of our map! Is anyone able to help us out with visitors from new places? Tags: Analytics, visitorsMrs C has set up Google Analytics to look at the statistics and information of our site’s visitors. Since April 5, we have had visitors from 33 different countries! If you are a visitor from anywhere other than our school, please post a comment telling us where you are from and how you found us. Here are our visitor stats for the last 11 weeks, according to Google Analytics:
As well as these multiple visits, we had single visits from Malaysia, Philippines, Romania, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, Pakistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Slovakia, Poland and Israel. Tags: Google Analytics, stats, visitors
The ClustrMaps usually take a few days to get going, but once they do, it should be very interesting for everyone to see where their visitors are coming from. Check out our student blogs by following the page menu at the top of this page, or click HERE. Tags: Maps, visitorsThis blog has been open since January 1, 2008, although it’s only been in class use since the end of January when we started the new school year. Since then, we have had visitors from ten countries: Australia (of course!), USA, England, France, Netherlands, Iran, South Korea, Israel, New Zealand and Canada. That’s a pretty good spread, I think. So, what brings these visitors? How do they find us? We know that our travelling class member Cointha has visited our site from England, France and the Netherlands. We know that some people from the USA linked to this site from last year’s blog. What about the others? How did they find us? If you are a visitor that doesn’t know one of us personally, we’d really appreciate your posting a comment to tell us how you found us. Thanks! Tags: Geography, visitorsWelcome to our classroom tonight – thank you for coming. This is our class blog. As we’ve only been at school for a couple of weeks, there’s not a lot to see yet, but keep watching this space! Feel free to browse through the pages of our blog – clicking the “home” button will bring you back to this page if you get lost. Today we looked over the new blog, familiarising ourselves with new terms like post, blog and widget. We also discussed internet protocols, such as ensuring we never give away personal information and making sure our work is of a high standard to share with the world. Some students also learned to post comments. We love comments! In fact, I want to encourage comments so much that I will give 1000 house points to the first ten students (from 5/6C) to post a comment to our blog before Wednesday. To qualify, comments must be correctly spelled and punctuated and say something intelligent, like sharing an idea or commenting thoughtfully on a post – no yelling though; AAAARRRGGGHHHH! (Note from Mrs C – no one got any points! How will you know what is happening if you don’t read new posts, chilluns?) When we have all of our permission forms back, students will be able to write their own posts and, soon, post on their own blogs! Stay tuned… Tags: blogging, Our BlogAfter a couple of busy months learning how to put together a blog, it’s time to start again for the new 2008 year. But the old blog is still a good one, so it will be kept as a reference. No new posts will be made, but comments remain open. Check it out here: http://mrsc2902.edublogs.org Tags: blogging |
