Student Blogs

Grade 5/6C students have all begun blogging, either on their own blogs or on personal pages on this blog. The links below will take you to each student’s work. All class members are keen to receive feedback and suggestions – please post comments if you have some ideas or thoughts to share! :-)

I think that your blog is fantastic, and really cool. Your DECA story was awesome, especially the part when you were saying that the bikes were big and scary, ha ha ha. The way that you have decorated the background is very, very pretty, creative and the pink really stands out a lot!

      Hi Freya,

I had noticed that the ClustrMap seemed to mess up all of the blogs using Vistered Little as a theme – but I was hoping that was only on my computer! I will ask about the problem on the forums (they can often fix problems or tell us how to) but otherwise your choice may be a ClustrMap OR Vistered Little, not both.

I hope you are having a great holiday – I am!

This is so so so cool! I am in 5th grade to! I wish we could do stuff like this! Inspired by you and you classes blogs, I have created my own and some of my friends go on it. Thanks Mrs.C (whoever you are)

From Mrs C: Hi Audrey. I am glad we were able to inspire you! We still have a lot to learn but it’s pretty cool to be able to put stuff on the web for the whole world to see. Our internet safety rules include not using last names, which is why I use a short version of my name, Mrs C. :-)

hi i am from broady ps i just want to say you have cool site. we have a 5/6 C at our school too. :)

From Mrs C: Hi, visitor from Broady. Thanks for the feedback. Is your school’s grade 5/6C the best grade in your school like our grade 5/6C is? (There might be some classes at our school who disagree, but we know we’re right! )

      Hi Zoe

What a great site. I hope you all learnt some good skills. I like your colours Zoe, but I am a bit worried about the self portrait, since when did you have wavey hair?

      Hello everyone,

I was connecting to my classroom blog when I happened upon your classroom blog. I really want to set up blogs for my students next year. Your blog is very inspirational. I teach in PEI, Canada. I would love to visit Australia some day. Perhaps my students in the fall could blog with your students.

Thank you for all the wonderful ideas.

      Leslie

From Mrs C: Hi Leslie, we’d be happy to blog with you in our spring and your autumn, as we call it. Thanks for visiting, and please let us know when your class blog is up and running.

Hello Mrs C and Year 5/6 Students!
I’m the Staff ICT Trainer at Ballarat Grammar and have just come across your blog – wow, it is fantastic! I am showing a group of English teachers in our secondary school how they can use blogs. (Just between you and me, they can learn lots from primary teachers! ;) I think your blog will be a perfect example! Thank you and I will enjoy reading more!
      Lucy :)

From Mrs C: Hi Lucy! Thanks for the positive feedback – we have found the blog to be constantly evolving. As we learn a new thing we add it to the blog somewhere, or students add it to their own blogs. So much more to learn though!

Hi I’m a teacher librarian in Vic at a primary school and just getting a blog ready to use with our students for the first time. I’m very impressed with your blogs. I wondered if students really would like writing on line, but I can see you all have heaps to write about and spend time making you entries interesting for your readers. I’m keener than ever to let my classes start blogging.
Good luck with the rest of your year. I look forward to popping in again and seeing all the updates.

From Mrs C: Thanks for visiting and for some feedback. When you get your blogs up and running, please let us know where they are so that we can visit.
